HOW TO BE BORN AGAIN 

I must ask you the most important question that you will ever be asked.  If you died today, do you know, positively, where you would spend eternity?  If you answer with anything except a positive yes, it is very important that you continue to read this.  

You may be a very nice person.  You try to love people and do what’s right most of the time.  You even believe in doing good deeds.  You may even believe there is a God.  However, that is not good enough. 

When a man came to Jesus in the bible and asked Him what he had to do to have eternal life, Jesus said, “You must be born again”.  This story is found in John, chapter three.  Nicodemus was his name and he was a good man and a teacher of the law.  Yet he and every man, woman, boy and girl must be born again to have eternal life. 

The Bible tells us in Romans 10:9-10, that we must believe in and confess Jesus Christ as our Savior, and we will be saved, or born again.  We must believe that He is the Son of God, and that He came to this earth and took on human flesh, shed His blood for us, and that He died for our sins, and God raised Him from the dead.  He is alive for evermore.  If you believe that in your heart and confess Him with your mouth, you will be saved.

We were all born into sin because of Adam and Eve’s sin.  We are sinners.  We’ve all broken God’s laws.  Not one of us deserves heaven.  God knew that this would happen and already had a plan to save or redeem us.  He would send His only Son, Jesus Christ, who knew no sin, to become our sacrifice.  Jesus took the sin of every man, woman, boy and girl who had ever lived before Him and would ever live after Him.  Every murderer, rapist, sex-offender, drunkard, wife-beater, thief, liar, or any other sin was put on Him on the cross.  Every sin that we might even consider minor also was placed upon him.  He took our sin so that we could have His righteousness.  He took our sickness so that we could be healed.  He took our depression so that we could have joy.  He took our confusion so that we could have peace.  He even took our poverty so that we could be blessed.  He made a way so that no person would ever have to go to hell but could spend all of eternity with Him in heaven where there will be no more pain or suffering.  The only thing we have to do to trade our sin for His righteousness is to believe this and accept what He has done for us.  We then ask Him to forgive us of our sin, come into our hearts to live, wash us in His blood and confess out loud that He is our Savior and the Son of God.

This isn’t religion.  It is about a relationship with a real and loving God.  He will cleanse you and give you brand new life in a single moment.  You will never be the same. This isn’t some long and complicated process.  This miracle of new life happens instantly with just one prayer.  Would you please pray this with me right now, out loud?

“Lord Jesus, I believe that you left heaven and came to this earth.  You were born of a virgin and never knew sin.  You went to the cross and shed your blood for me.  You died for my sin.  God raised you from the dead and you are alive forevermore.  You are King of Kings and Lord of Lords.  Please forgive me of my sin and wash me in your blood.  Give me new life.  This day, I accept you as my Savior and Lord of my life.  I will never be the same.  You, Jesus Christ are my Savior from this moment on.  Change me, fill me, and use me for your glory.  In Jesus name I pray, Amen.”

My friend, if you just prayed this prayer, you are now a new creation according to The Bible in II Cor. 5:17.  Old things are truly passed away and everything becomes new.  You will never be the same.  The angels of heaven are throwing a party on your behalf and celebrating the fact that you were just born again.  The Bible says that God writes your name down in His book of life and that your sins will be wiped out and never remembered again.  What a miracle!!  If you prayed this prayer with us, please call our office or let us know by way of this website that you were born again.  We want to rejoice with you.  It’s important that you find a good church that believes the Bible and teaches it completely.  That will help you to grow up in God and learn more of Him.  It will also give you a spiritual family to be there for you, pray for you, love on you and encourage you.  Going to church doesn’t save you.  Jesus’ blood did that.  It is important though, to be followers of Christ and obedient to what He says.  He tells us that we should not forsake going to church, and even more so in this hour that we’re living in.  Hebr. 10:25.

After you’re born again, there are so many wonderful things waiting for you.  This is just the beginning.  God has provided for you to have healing for your body and for your soul.  He will heal your broken heart, your mind, and emotions.  He wants to talk to you and commune with you and teach you how to sense His soft voice in your heart.  He wants to baptize you in His precious Holy Spirit and give you great power and boldness to tell others about him.  Acts 1:8.  He wants to use you to win other people to Him and to see miracles according to Mark 16:15-18.  He wants you to learn about giving to Him through the tithe and offerings, so that you can live to be a blessing all the days of your life.  He wants to see you grow up in Him and to be used for His glory.  He wants to love on you and show you His mercy and grace. 

Today is just the beginning of a wonderful life in Jesus.  Congratulations!  You just made the best decision you have ever made.  Your sins are forgiven.  You are born again and on your way to heaven.  You now have eternal life.
