Thoughts on our First Over Seas Trip

with Debbie Rich Ministries

What an amazing trip this has been. This was our first international trip with Dr. Debbie Rester and Pastor Bob Rester for Debbie Rich Ministries.  Pastor Debbie came prepared to minister on the 9 Gifts of the Spirit from 1 Corinthians 12 for the program The Higher Life with Pastor Jenny Roebert and Dr. Patricia Bailey.  As these mighty woman of God began to share on each of the gifts the Holy Spirit moved on His word and each of the speakers moved in the gifts.  They filmed 18 sessions for airing on Faith Broadcasting and various other stations at a later time.  You will not want to miss these powerful teachings and the display of His Power.

There was a day of rest and we went on a game drive to Inkwenkwezie Game Reserve, a privately owned game reserve on the Eastern Cape of South Africa with Lead Pastors, Kevin & Chantell Davis, of The River Church East London. What a fantastic time with two nation shakers, full of the Holy Ghost! Through the 4 hour drive we were able to see all the animals on the reserve except for the Rhinos.  There were poachers that had come to cut the horns off the Rhino not too long before we came and the Rhinos, under divine protection, had moved far off into the reserve and remained unharmed.  To protect them from death, the owner of the reserve chose to have their horns removed or the poachers would have just continued to attack.

Faith on Fire began on Sunday morning, October 28 and we met for the next 6 days two times a day for 4 hrs and broadcast live to 3 continents. That’s right Africa, Europe and the Americas.  Almost every nation of the world was able to participate in the services through multiple platforms, including Facebook, Video On Demand and Television. Many millions of homes were reached and hundreds of thousands of lives touched by the live broadcasts and the replays. Evangelist Jonathan Shuttlesworth spoke on the 9 gifts building on the Word that began with The Higher Life recordings the week before and allowed the Holy Ghost to confirm the Word.  Pastor Debbie ministered almost every service delivering the Word so powerfully that you could feel the fire of God on your cheeks with many quaking under the power of God. Absolutely awesome!  Dr. Bradley Norman flew in from the UK and other ministers from other areas of Africa came to participate in the meetings.  We had awesome word-based teachings and the Holy Spirit confirmed the word each meeting. The Power of God was available for all to see and hear. So good.

During one of the services Dr. Nicky van der Westhuizen was operating in the gift of working of miracles and a deaf and dumb young man was healed on worldwide television. Just normal christianity on display. Thank you, Jesus! So cool to see our Big God in action. In the very same service right in front of us a girl that was completely paralyzed on her right side for 18 years from a childhood stroke came forward for healing. Pastor Debbie laid her hands on her and the power of God knocked her to the ground. When she stood up she was instantly totally healed and testified to the nations of the world on camera, running around the room. Oh, the goodness and mercy of God. Christ Jesus the same yesterday, today and forever. BIG GOD!!

During these meetings we received impartation and revelation of the Word and were continually filled with the Holy Ghost!  On Monday, Oct. 29th, God spoke through Dr. Andre Roebert over our ministry and how it will work with Pastor Bob & Debbie, that the weight of the past was removed and there’s been a move to another level. Never the same in Jesus name from glory to glory and faith to faith. Many Souls will be saved and filled with the Fire of God! Amen and amen.

What a honor and privilege to assist Pastors Bob & Debbie Rester, Generals in the Kingdom. The Love, Humility and Power of Christ is continually on display in their lives. We testify that what you see on television is exactly what you experience behind the scenes in their personal lives. For anyone who knows them you could surely testify the same. Mighty mighty Saints. We so love them!

A special thank you to Dr. Andre and Jenny Roebert for their generosity and kindness to us. We have been treated like royalty by them and the entire team of The River East London. People of integrity and the love of Jesus on display. Full of Faith and Power.

We have made divine connections with the family of God and are overwhelmed at God’s goodness. For sometime we have known the call to nations, however, we have never wanted to open the doors in the flesh. When God opens doors they are bigger and better than what you could imagine. To be a small part of the Gospel being preached to the nations of the world at one time is incredible, not exactly a small door. Let God lift you up and no man will take it away for what God has blessed no devil can curse. What a faithful God.

Stay tuned! Blessings in Christ Jesus;

Allyn and Tamron Clevenger

Pastor Debbie's Thoughts on the WSI Banquet

On May 5, 2018, Word and Spirit Institute NW celebrated our first end of the year banquet. We held the event at Anthony’s Homeport in Olympia, WA. We had a beautiful room with a water view. It was a perfect day, the sun was setting on the inlet with beautiful boats docked just outside our window. The evening was pretty much perfect.

I expected the emotions of the students who had just completed their first year to be running high.  What I did not expect was the eruption of my own emotions to overflow. I looked at the tables of students who had persevered over the enemy: temptation to quit, circumstances that tried to prohibit the completion of the year, and more. All I could see were tables of over comers, water walkers, nation shakers, revival carriers. I was so proud to even be associated with such hungry, thirsty, revivalists. There will never be another charter class. This night was monumental in every way. I will never forget it as long as I live.

The enemy tried to prevent Word and Spirit Institute NW from ever getting off the ground. We faced financial circumstances, banks that did not want to lend us the money for our new building, committees to overcome, the state of Washington and their legalities that do not make it easy to form a Christian Bible school, and more. Yet, here we were; enjoying steak, fish, pasta, and watching videos of all we have done together over this last year, thanking God for His faithfulness, grace, and favor. Again, what a night!

We have had the privilege of having some of the greatest, most dedicated Bible scholars and instructors teaching these students. I want to thank; Miss Michelle Spahn, Pastor Jason Stonecipher, Dr. Mark Spitsbergen, Pastor Jason Gillick, and Dr. Stuart Graham. I also was one of the teachers and enjoyed every minute of it. Again, we have had the best, and they did it as volunteers. Someday that will change as the school grows. What men and women of God who prayed, studied, and took time to film in the middle of their own busy schedules. They are pastors, medical doctors, missionaries, and evangelists traveling the world, and yet they took time for us.

After I presented the students with their first-year certificates and Word and Spirit pens, they surprised me with a beautiful framed print of our charter class. Again, the emotion that welled up overflowed with gratitude and the privilege of being called to be part of this. It was the perfect gift.

At the end of three years, we will be issuing a Bachelor of Ministry degree. That will be an awesome day but I do not believe my joy will be any greater than on this night. I have dreamed of this for years; duplicating that same revival spirit, deep roots, sound Biblical doctrine, character, and practical application into people who will take it farther than I have been able to and “see the knowledge of the glory of God covering the earth as the waters cover the sea.”

Revival Salem

I was honored to be asked to join Pastors Lew and Lorri Wootan, pastors of The River Salem, for their spring camp meeting. We did meetings Wednesday through Friday, two services a day. From the first moment, we found a spiritually hungry group of people in love with Jesus Christ, who know how to draw on the anointing of The Holy Ghost.

These meetings resembled the glorious meetings of the 90’s. We had joy unspeakable and full of glory, tears and confessions of repentance, re-dedications, salvations, people baptized in the Holy Spirit and inner and outer healings. Our own twelve year old great granddaughter, Grace Pinto was baptized in the Holy Spirit on Friday night.

People had incredible breakthroughs and testified of it. Some who thought they were all right spiritually, began to cry out in the middle of my preaching. One man said that his heart was about to come out of his chest. He knew that he was in a backslidden condition, bound in so many areas and needed to be free right then. Many others followed suit and I had to quit preaching so that desperate people could get right with God, on the spot. It made me think of Charles Finney’s meetings when people began to cry out in the middle of the service. I was overcome with emotion of gratitude to be used by God in such a way.

The meetings were diverse. The Holy Spirit loves to surprise us and move the way that He wants to, not the way we want. I came in for each meeting, waiting to see what He would do next. We were never disappointed. One of the things I love about Pastor Lew’s church is the honesty before God and man. They have no shame. They just want God and don’t care what anyone thinks about it. Even at the altar call, they faced the people openly.

On Friday morning, one of their ladies could not be in the service. She is a truck driver. She watched the service on-line and was convicted. She rushed to the service and later testified that she was going faster than she should have been. She was praying that she would get there in time for the altar call and came running in with tears streaming down her face. She repented to God, the pastor, and others in the congregation. She spoke of how bound she has been. She testified on Friday evening that she had been closed off for so long because she was afraid of being hurt. Finally she let God do spiritual surgery and go where no psychiatrist and no surgeon’s knife can go. Her face was shining and she was unrecognizable from the way she looked in previous meetings. Praise God! I love what I do and am so thankful for the call of God on our lives.

One of my spiritual assignments was to break the spirit of poverty over the area, the church, and the mind-sets of the people. God gave me an anointing and a commission to do exactly that, twenty-six years ago in Anchorage, Alaska. I am still happy to be doing so. I believe this church will never be the same and able to accomplish all that God has called them to do. They are called to take the land.

I don’t believe that it is a coincidence that Pastor Lew is located in the capitol of Oregon and we are just outside of the capital in Washington State. We are to occupy until our Lord comes back and to take dominion, including taking the land for Jesus.  The Northwest has been known as the extremely liberal area of the United States and so we are on assignment to see that change. I believe this week was an important part of that. We are seeing it change in Jesus’ name.

Another important part of this last week was the developing friendship between Pastors Lew & Lorri and my husband and I. The Wootans and I were touched and forever changed in the same meetings at the same time, in Anchorage, Alaska, in November of 1992, at Pastor Rodney Howard-Browne’s meetings. We met then, exchanged limited conversation, saw each other over the years in only a couple of places; Juneau, Alaska; Long Beach, Mississippi and then we were busy fulfilling our separate callings. God has brought us full-circle and we have entered a covenant to see revival spread all over the Northwest. We also agreed to be there for each other and to do whatever is in our power to help each other fulfill all that God has called us to do. We loved the fellowship with them. Pastors Lew and Lorri treated us royally and we were so blessed. Pastor Debbie of FaithLife Church NW, took a vacation and the evangelist Debbie was back. That is so much fun to still operate in that anointing. It was also fun for my church to witness that again. Several of our church came to the meetings. I have invited Pastors Lew and Lorri to be a part of our upcoming Northwest Ablaze meetings, June 24-July 1.  You do not want to miss that event.

To all of our friends and partners who pray for us and support this ministry, thank you for helping to send us to Salem, Oregon. You are a part of the harvest. By the way, we have to get better at counting people who came in the harvest. I would think that it is safe to say that we had close to fifty come to Jesus in all the meetings. It will be laid to your account.

Vision Casting

We are a Spirit-filled faith church, passionately in love with Jesus, impacting our world through evangelism, pursuing His presence, and training others to spread revival fires into the 21st century.
— FLCNW Vision Statement

It was such a powerful Sunday at FLCNW as we welcomed our newest additions--Pastors Jason and Cathy Stonecipher. Pastor Debbie started the day with a message on the vision and mission of the church. God didn't say to "Go into all the world and preach the Gospel--unless it's hard." He simply said, "Go." We are to live for one thing: to see people saved and filled with the Holy Ghost. We all have to take ownership of the vision and mission of the church or we aren't going anywhere.

Don’t invest in your own plan. Grab ahold of God’s plan!
— Pastor Jason Stonecipher

Proverbs 29:18 tells us, "Where there is o vision, the people perish: but he that keepers the law, happy is he." The church has no future unless its vision it greater than its memories. Jesus has faith bigger than His mind, will, and emotions. We cannot be moved by what we see. The Hall of Faith in Hebrews 11 believed without seeing. Hebrews 11: 39 says, "And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise." We have received the promise and therefore have no excuse not to lay hold of our vision through faith!

We are so excited to have Pastors Jason and Cathy by our side as we continue this journey to see our city, county, nation, and world saved!

Share God’s love. Pursue His presence. Walk by faith. Demonstrate His power. Take the land.
— FLCNW Mission Statement

As He Is, So Are We!

Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
— 1 John 4:17

We had a couple of powerful services Sunday. The presence of God has just been growing and growing over the last while. While Pastor Debbie was ministering in Iowa we had people from our church body ministering--Vincent Pinto in the morning and Bud and Dena Hastings in the evening. The gist of both services was that we need to remember who God is and who we are in Him, by comparison. One of the quotes that stuck out to me was when Vincent said, "If you've read through the whole Bible, there isn't an answer to a problem that you haven't read." That is a big reason to stay consistently in the Word or God!

But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
— Ephesians 2:4-7

Resurrection Day Outreach

When we began planning our Resurrection Day services a couple of months ago we asked our Bible School students and staff, "How should we celebrate Resurrection Day this year?" It was at that moment that we all came to the conclusion that the day we celebrate Jesus' resurrection couldn't be a better day to bring in people who need to hear about His sacrifice for us. We went out and spent money--a lot of money--on advertising, postcards, fliers, and prizes to bless our local community here in Elma, Washington.

The day dawned cloudy and rainy, as only a true, spring Washington day could. We had our students and staff there early and a crew of godly, young men who had their umbrellas at the ready to attend the parking lot and walk people through the deluge, if necessary. Our guests arrived to the smiling faces our greeting and registration crew who got them their tickets to enter for the drawings. Then our awesome ushering staff seated them. The vast majority of our people barely sat the whole service as they ministered to the needs of our guests. What an amazing team of willing vessels we have been blessed with!

As the service started, our one thing, our one goal for the whole day took flight. The Gospel message was preached--through song, through word, and through actions. The church was expectant as Pastor Debbie began to preach. The story of our Savior's persistent love filled the air as Pastor Debbie went into great detail of what He went through during His final day. His betrayal. His trial. His mocking. His beating. His scourging. His crucifixion. His death. His resurrection! As Pastor Debbie concluded her message the call was given. We are thrilled to report that all but a handful of our guests came to the altar! The altar was full of people--hands raised, tears falling--as they said the sinner's prayer.

Once the altar call concluded we took those who prayed with us into our library where we explained to them the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and prayed with them to receive. Many did! One man in particular fell under the power and as God touched him he kept trying to touch something in front of him. He explained later that the room was "foggy" and he was trying to reach out and see what it was. We explained to him that he was seeing the glory cloud of God! Many people were touched and changed by the power of our great God!

Why did we choose to do this? I have three reasons. Souls, souls, and souls! As people left the church with faces shining with new life we knew that whatever flak we received from religious people was worth it!

What is Resurrection Day For?

Jesus said to them, ‘Come with me. I’ll make a new kind of fisherman out of you. I’ll show you how to catch men and women instead of perch and bass.’ They didn’t ask questions, but simply dropped their nets and followed.
— Matthew 4:20 (Message)

In two days we are going to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Our eternal salvation is dependent on the fact that Jesus died for us, bore our sin, and rose from the dead—triumphant over death, hell, and the grave. This should be a day of the greatest celebration, unspeakable joy, and an opportunity to be witnesses to the abundant life He has given us. It should be a day where only one thing is on our mind, reaching the lost at any cost. It should not be a day about easter egg hunts, bunny rabbits, and spring bonnets. Somehow the pagan holiday of worshipping a female fertility goddess has become so intertwined with the resurrection of our Lord that people have come to believe it is one and the same. Even our King James translators became confused. The word passover was exchanged for Easter. However, the purpose of this blog is not to give that entire history. You are welcome to study it out for yourself.

The harvest is great, people are hungry and are waiting for someone to reach them about the love of Jesus Christ. They just don’t know how good He is. They are tired of religion and hypocrisy. They are even tired of their own bondage and dysfunction, but have no idea how to get free. America is not the America of past generations. People had a sense of responsibility to attend church or at least find one for their children. Now, people don’t even know what church is and many have never even heard of Jesus. I hate to burst your bubble but they are not just going to wander into our church on this day or any other Sunday, out of curiosity, sense of duty, or for any other reason.

We have a job to do. It is to reap the harvest, using every tool that we have available in this hour. We will be asked to give an account of what we did with our time, resources, finances, and strength. We are told to, go into the world. “Whoever believes and is baptized is saved; whoever refuses to believe is damned,” Mark 16:16. I noticed that The Bible does not say to sit and wait for them to walk into your church. The Bible also does not say, "If they aren’t interested, at least you tried”. It says the opposite in Luke 14: 24 “And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled”. KJV The Message Bible says it even more plainly, “The master said, ‘Then go to the country roads. Whoever you find, drag them in. I want my house full! Let me tell you, not one of those originally invited is going to get so much as a bite at my dinner party.’” That means I may have to find a way to put some pressure on them to make sure they don’t go off the cliff. We have to find innovative ways to bring them in, not just hope they might decide to visit. Even with natural fishing, a person has to learn what kind of bait to use for different fish. Who cares what bait is used as long as it gets the job done? I’m not the first one to equate fishing with bringing people into the kingdom. Jesus used the comparison more than once. Matthew 4:20 “Jesus said to them, “‘Come with me. I’ll make a new kind of fisherman out of you. I’ll show you how to catch men and women instead of perch and bass.’ They didn’t ask questions, but simply dropped their nets and followed.” (Message) Fish do not just jump in the boat.

My job (and yours) is to use everything and anything else that is not sin to compel them. Of course, we don’t gamble, offer alcohol or any sinful thing to attract the sinner. Once upon a time, people thought you could not use television for the Gospel because TV was a sin. Now we know that it’s only a tool that can be used for evil or good. Years ago, a man said to D. L. Moody. “I don’t like your method for winning souls” (speaking of mass crusades). Moody answered, “I’m not all that fond of it myself. I’m open to whatever you use”. The man said he didn’t have any method to offer because he was not a soul winner. Moody said that he was back to liking his own method. That says it all.

FaithLife Church NW decided to spend hundreds on printing flyers, hundreds to mail them out to every household, and thousands on gifts for a drawing. We are not offering people gifts if they come to the altar or profess Christ. We are simply offering gifts to get them in the door. Once they are in the door, it is a full, pentecostal, no holds barred, salvation message about the cross, the blood, the resurrection, repentance, and salvation. We are having beautiful songs about His blood and love. We will give an altar call and cast the Gospel net. We will offer communion but make it plain that only born again people should participate. We will pray for people to be baptized in the Holy Spirit and take information to followup and make disciples. Yes, we are unashamedly throwing out bait, but when they come in, the Holy Spirit will draw them and demonstrate His power. Perhaps instead of spending this much on the lost, we should have a pagan Easter egg hunt for our own children, fill our own bellies, or spend it on ourselves. Maybe we should cut our service short to become seeker sensitive and just make sure we offend no one and get the people out early to go have dinner with their own families on “Easter.” However, we are not. A small group of people are going to be working their tail ends off for this event to simply reap a harvest. We will probably have one of the longer services in the area for we will not compromise the message, the Lord’s table, worship service, or an altar call.

Yet with all of that, you would think we are blaspheming this holy day. Someone from another church called our office, complaining that we are doing this unholy thing of spending money to bring people in the door. She even said that she was tempted to go on Facebook and as she said, “Blast us” but decided to call us instead. The person mentioned that they are talking to others and “they all feel this way about how what we are doing is terrible”. The Pharisees accused Jesus of being a wine-bibber. They didn’t like Him healing on the Sabbath, allowing His disciples to pick grain on the Sabbath and much more. I guess we are in good company. When we were doing nothing for the Lord, we never received criticism. Finally we are doing enough that the devil is scared. I refuse to take this personally. The same lady goes to a church that thinks its fine to have children’s carnivals to draw people in (and it is, of course). However, to bless people with gifts on Resurrection Day to simply draw them into God’s house to hear a Gospel message, is terribly wrong.

We have to change our thinking or we are going to lose an entire generation. Social media is not my favorite thing, but it Is a tool that we would be fools to leave only in the devil’s hands. I don’t like most movies or theaters because of the ungodly movies. However, thank God the church is getting smarter and rising up to take dominion over all these institutions and producing some wonderful movies like the recent one, “I Can Only Imagine”. Its time the church becomes the church and goes aggressively on the offense to reap the harvest. Do I think the best way is to have the power of God operating through us so powerfully that we all rush out of the church and talk to everyone we encounter about Jesus? Yes, of course, but that does not negate using everything else at our disposal too. People who criticize another’s methods are using all their energy to do so. Its time that the criticisms stop and that energy is poured into the proclaiming of the Gospel. The harvest is ripe!

The master said, ‘Then go to the country roads. Whoever you find, drag them in. I want my house full! Let me tell you, not one of those originally invited is going to get so much as a bite at my dinner party.’
— Luke 14:24 (Message)

Increasing in Love and Yielding to the Holy Ghost

And the Lord shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers to give thee.
— Deuteronomy 28:11

We began the day with a mini-sermon in the tithe. Pastor Debbie shred a shocking statistic. Only 5% of the church tithes! Can you imagine how much the church could accomplished if they would believe the word and act on it? There are over 2,000 verses in the Bible dedicated to finances. God wouldn't have placed such an emphasis on it if it weren't important.

We continued our series on "Love, the More Excellent Way." People are looking for a place to belong. Love is a commandment, not a feeling. We also learned that the spiritual gifts are a manifestation of God's love! Love cares for people. If you are too busy to be a Christian or "Christ-like" then you are not a Christian. Harsh, yet true.

Our day concluded with a message on yielding. Heads are for thinking, spirits are for drinking. People who are going to move in the Holy Ghost have to be hungry and willing. We had a bunch of hungry and willing people here Sunday night! Hallelujah!

23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. 24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.
— 1 John 3:23-24

Who We Are in Him

9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
— Philippians 2:9-11 KJV

We had a powerful Sunday with Dr. Stuart and Grace Graham! Dr. Graham ministered on who God is and who we are in Him. We have nothing and are nothing outside of Him. We have no righteousness of ourselves. He gave us His and He empowers us to walk in it. His righteousness gives you the standing that He has. Knowing that will give you boldness!

Jesus was manifested to take away our sin. Our desire for sin disappears when we truly see Him. He who abides in Him will not sin. Period. When you walk without sin You will walk in perfect humility. We have to do it God's way no matter what we think the outcome will be!

1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. 2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. 3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
— 1 John 3:1-3

The Love Walk

Pastor Debbie preached on the Love Walk in the morning service. We learned in Mark 10:45 that, "Even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many." And if Jesus lived that way, so should we. We are not above our Master. Love never allows us to hurt or harm other. So, if we're walking in love, will we hurt people? No!

Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
— Romans 12:9-10

We should leave others better than we found them. Weak people hurt other people. If we hurt others, it only shows how weak we really are! Love and strength go together. Christians don't kick people when they're down. Love put yourself in their shoes. Real, genuine love watches ourself closely, but gives others the benefit of the doubt.

Be so hidden in Christ Jesus that you can't even get hurt or offended. There is more than more than enough of His love and grace to sustain you!

The evening service treated us to an object lesson on yielding--and boy, did we!

And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
— Acts 2:4

Revival with Dr. Richard and Ronda Moore

And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
— Ephesians 3:19

What a week we had with Dr. Richard and Ronda! There was such a depth of the word. We as a church are coming up higher--higher in the Word and higher in the Spirit. The way we live in eternity is determined by how we live here on earth. There are so many people with knowledge of God but they don't truly know Him. In this day and age it's so important to immerse ourselves in the Word. 2 Timothy 2:15 says, "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." If the Word tells us to rightly divide it must be possible to wrongly divide.

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.
— Hosea 4:6a

If we have a heart that says, "I can do what I want" then we don't have a heart submitted to God. The Holy Spirit never enters a man and allows them to live like the world. If the Holy Spirit is not our ruler then someone else is!

How awesome it is that God sees us through the work of redemption! We must be found faithful. God only ever promotes by faithfulness. Because God is faithful, he desire a people who are faithful. God is a rewarder of those who have really good hearts. He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Revival takes commitment and sacrifice. We can't be filled with all the fullness of God until we are filled with the Word of God. Its time to follow hard after Him!

God has given us a divine opportunity to reach the world!

In October, my husband & I, our secretary, Dena & her husband, Bud, went to Pastor Rodney’s ministers & leaders conference in Tampa, Florida.  We went to receive of the anointing and had no idea what God was about to do.  I was called upon to minister in almost every service.  That was only the beginning.  Pastor Rodney was led to extend his meetings and I continued to minister for three weeks.  He even had me take two of the services completely myself.  While there, we found out that he is on a relatively new television network called Faith Broadcasting.  It is based out of South Africa but reaches all of Africa, the United Kingdom, and has now launched into fourteen million American homes.  The official launching was the second week that we were with Pastor Rodney.  He asked me to go on the network daily to help them with that launch.  What a divine appointment!   The president of the network so appreciated my teaching that he asked me to have a program on a regular basis.  Then the Lord directed Pastor Rodney to buy us three new cameras for our studio, with cables and tripods. He then gave us an unexpected offering.

In the middle of the conference, The Lord spoke to Pastor Rodney to come minister at our church.  What a miracle again!  We ended up being one of several River churches that he went to on a tour. It was a glorious night of ministry and harvest.  We are forever thankful.

I want to tell you a little more about this new opportunity on Faith Broad-casting network.  What I love about this new network is that they have pure hearts and are doing Christian television different.  It is about time!  They want nothing to do with gimmicks and manipulation and have even dismissed some very popular television-evangelists because of that.  The president said that he loved the pure message from my heart.  This brings joy to my heart because I, too, have been sickened by all of the manipulation and have refused to have any more to do with several stations that have invited me to be on their network, at great cost to my own ministry.  However, I know that I will stand before a Holy God and give an account for who I associate with and what practices they allow.  So, I feel that this has been an answer to prayer and brought about healing in my own heart.  God has brought many things full circle the last two months.  It is so important to protect our own hearts and walk in integrity, forgiveness, and holiness.

Who and what is Faith Broad-casting network? FAITH BROADCASTING NETWORK is a family of premier Christian television channels bringing the gospel of Jesus Christ to homes on the continent of Africa and beyond.  It has been reaching into millions of homes all over Africa and The United Kingdom for several years.  It just launched across America a few weeks ago on the dish network into 14 million U.S. homes. FAITH FAMILY OF NETWORKS now potentially commands the attention in excess of 64 million viewers across its satellite channels.  Dr. André & Jenny Robert, founders of River Ministries South Africa, are the founders and owners.

The channel makes a commitment to being a relevant voice in society. In a society that is often rocked by various political, criminal and environmental calamities, a solid faith in an unchanging God proves to be a great comfort. This channel brings a message of hope through the daily programming.

Do you realize what a miracle it is to sit in one location and reach millions of people all over the earth at the same time?  Just the plane tickets and hotels for that would cost a fortune; then add to that, the time-factor and wear on the body.  God has truly given us a divine opportunity to reach the world, while continuing to pastor and train revivalists and ministers in the Bible school who will continue to multiply the work.   I am believing for many partners.

I want to ask you to download the Faith Broadcasting app and follow us soon.

Anticipating Northwest Ablaze!

We have an event coming up in just a few days, called Northwest Ablaze.  It will be combined with my celebration of twenty-five years in full- time ministry.  We have people coming in from all over the world, special guest speakers, an anointed worship leader who we have brought up from Florida, videos of my Alaskan ministry to the villages, the international ministry from forty nations, and more.  People are...

My Response To Christians Saying Donald Trump Is Ungodly

I, Debbie Rich Rester, am writing this article as a private citizen.  This is my response to those of you who have said that Donald Trump is ungodly.  You are right!  I have never heard the man claim to be born again.  I do not know of one president who has been.  His language is deplorable, as was Nixon's, Johnson's, Kennedy's, and yes, President Bush's. I believed President Bush to be born again at the time, to find out differently, according to his fruit.  We have it from a good source that...

Revival In The Northwest. Are You Ready?

Revival is coming to the Pacific Northwest.  It is coming like a giant tsunami and will overtake new-age attitudes, spiritual lethargy, religion, the occult, and intellectualism.  It is time that the northwest is not just known for technology, ecology, the home of Starbucks, mountains, and beauty.  It is about to become the new Bible Belt!  How do I know that?  I know that because God is stirring hearts to pray for it, get in faith for it, preach about it,  get hungry for it, thirsty for it, and desperate for it, and those hearts will have it! This is why God has stirred my heart and others to...

What Is Your Spiritual Temperature? (Part 2)

To be lukewarm is to have a condition that will cause God to vomit you out of His mouth. I don’t want to give God the flu, do you? There is only one cure for that: the Fire of God. In the movie War Room, there was a scene when the older woman asked the young woman realtor if she considered her spiritual condition to be hot or cold. She replied “that it was neither, but lukewarm.” The older woman proceeded to bring her a cup of coffee that was disgustingly lukewarm...

What Is Your Spiritual Temperature? (Part 1)

It is important to hear what The Spirit of God is saying to us in this hour. The Bible says in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. (Matt 18:16 B). When you hear something over and over out of the mouths of God’s people, it’s time to listen. At the beginning of the year, I heard The Spirit say, “My church must return to her first love. Priorities have to change. I must be first-place in the lives of my people.” I announced to my church that I would be delivering a message about that in the next few weeks. That evening, our church joined in with another church, The River Northwest, in Bremerton, WA. for a revival meeting with Richard & Ronda Moore, from Tampa, Fl. I was astounded to hear...

Celebrate America

Another speaker encouraged us to win the lost. His name is Pastor Kwabena Kobby Sarpong. I was challenged. We must go out and bear fruit. If you and I are not bearing fruit we are not a Christian, if you don’t know how to win souls you are a fake…plain & simple! We must rise as a people and bring in the lost. Ps. 2:8 says, “8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.” We must ask God, but then step out and do something. Many are perishing. He’s given us the power to do anything, over all the power of the enemy.

Revival History

This country was birthed in revival. God has moved here generation after generation. We’ve tasted from on high and we know that nothing else will satisfy us. This Great Awakening must start in our hungry hearts. Jesus said "if anyone is thirsty, come and drink and out of your belly will flow rivers of living water”. It’s time to shake nations one state at a time. It cannot be done through a luke warm religious church but one that has tasted of those living waters. Those old revivalists set a standard that still needs to be followed. It was one of no compromise or fear. They would not back down for their own protection.
