Anticipating Northwest Ablaze!

We have an event coming up in just a few days, called Northwest Ablaze.  It will be combined with my celebration of twenty-five years in full- time ministry.  We have people coming in from all over the world, special guest speakers, an anointed worship leader who we have brought up from Florida, videos of my Alaskan ministry to the villages, the international ministry from forty nations, and more.  People are...

My Response To Christians Saying Donald Trump Is Ungodly

I, Debbie Rich Rester, am writing this article as a private citizen.  This is my response to those of you who have said that Donald Trump is ungodly.  You are right!  I have never heard the man claim to be born again.  I do not know of one president who has been.  His language is deplorable, as was Nixon's, Johnson's, Kennedy's, and yes, President Bush's. I believed President Bush to be born again at the time, to find out differently, according to his fruit.  We have it from a good source that...

Revival In The Northwest. Are You Ready?

Revival is coming to the Pacific Northwest.  It is coming like a giant tsunami and will overtake new-age attitudes, spiritual lethargy, religion, the occult, and intellectualism.  It is time that the northwest is not just known for technology, ecology, the home of Starbucks, mountains, and beauty.  It is about to become the new Bible Belt!  How do I know that?  I know that because God is stirring hearts to pray for it, get in faith for it, preach about it,  get hungry for it, thirsty for it, and desperate for it, and those hearts will have it! This is why God has stirred my heart and others to...

What Is Your Spiritual Temperature? (Part 2)

To be lukewarm is to have a condition that will cause God to vomit you out of His mouth. I don’t want to give God the flu, do you? There is only one cure for that: the Fire of God. In the movie War Room, there was a scene when the older woman asked the young woman realtor if she considered her spiritual condition to be hot or cold. She replied “that it was neither, but lukewarm.” The older woman proceeded to bring her a cup of coffee that was disgustingly lukewarm...

What Is Your Spiritual Temperature? (Part 1)

It is important to hear what The Spirit of God is saying to us in this hour. The Bible says in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. (Matt 18:16 B). When you hear something over and over out of the mouths of God’s people, it’s time to listen. At the beginning of the year, I heard The Spirit say, “My church must return to her first love. Priorities have to change. I must be first-place in the lives of my people.” I announced to my church that I would be delivering a message about that in the next few weeks. That evening, our church joined in with another church, The River Northwest, in Bremerton, WA. for a revival meeting with Richard & Ronda Moore, from Tampa, Fl. I was astounded to hear...

Celebrate America

Another speaker encouraged us to win the lost. His name is Pastor Kwabena Kobby Sarpong. I was challenged. We must go out and bear fruit. If you and I are not bearing fruit we are not a Christian, if you don’t know how to win souls you are a fake…plain & simple! We must rise as a people and bring in the lost. Ps. 2:8 says, “8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.” We must ask God, but then step out and do something. Many are perishing. He’s given us the power to do anything, over all the power of the enemy.

Revival History

This country was birthed in revival. God has moved here generation after generation. We’ve tasted from on high and we know that nothing else will satisfy us. This Great Awakening must start in our hungry hearts. Jesus said "if anyone is thirsty, come and drink and out of your belly will flow rivers of living water”. It’s time to shake nations one state at a time. It cannot be done through a luke warm religious church but one that has tasted of those living waters. Those old revivalists set a standard that still needs to be followed. It was one of no compromise or fear. They would not back down for their own protection.

How It All Began

Our country was a new experiment. It has proven to be one of the greatest countries in the world. We tolerate people with differences, we allow for various religions to prosper and grow here, we allow people to relate to their God as their conscience dictates while we also allow for individual liberty so long as that liberty does not violate the property or life of another. This freedom and lifestyle has emerged because of our heritage..

United States Revival History - The Birth Of A Nation

Are we just another country like others? No, we have a deep, Christian, spiritual heritage. No one can deny that many of the founding fathers of the United States of America were men of deep religious convictions, based in the Bible and their Christian faith in Jesus Christ. Of the 56 men who signed the Declaration of Independence, nearly half (24) held seminary or Bible school degrees. These Christian quotes of the founding fathers will give you an overview of their strong moral and spiritual convictions which helped form the foundations of our nation and our government.

It Is Not Too Late, God Is Waiting For You!

This week I will take you on a revival journey to show you how one man or woman turned the course of history, even in modern times. However, today I want to start with a few Bible examples. Time after time, God said that He would wipe everyone out because of their sin. Yet, someone interceded, and He turned from His plan for their sake. The prophecies foretold of judgment and exile but God expected them to preach, pray, and repent to change it, or at least to delay it.

Supreme Court's Decision On Same-Sex Marriage

My, how times have changed! We have to face that this is a post-Christian nation. People don’t believe the way they used to think or believe. They have different values. They used to know they were sinners and needed a savior. They knew they had rebelled against God and needed His forgiveness. They had memories, even if distant ones, to Sunday school stories & lessons of Jesus dying on the cross. Many knew they weren’t living by what they remembered, but knew they should. Today, people no longer live close to that. When you ask them about God, they may say, which one? If you speak of sin, you’ll hear, “I am not so bad, I’m not a murderer. If you stand up & say something about the sanctity of marriage, you could get stoned. They no longer consider the Bible the final authority or have any idea what is says, except, “Judge not, that you be not judged.”

Is What We Believe Based On The Word Of God (Part 7 of 7)

You can pay tithes and God still not be pleased. Many do what sounds too much like paying a bill. They sit down with a calculator and figure to the penny and pay what they owe. Others go to the other ditch. “Sister, I believe in being led by Holy Ghost.” Great, but if you're consistently giving less than 10% , you are not being led by the Holy Ghost. Even the word tithe means, tenth. That is pretty easy to figure out. It is interesting that we can't get buy with Uncle Sam with only 10%. Usually, it is more like 30%. Do we support Uncle Sam more than God? People want to fuss and argue, but God has never changed.

No Compromise - Do Not Bow To Pressure

There are others who have been touched so marvelously in the move of God. They swore they would never turn back I am thinking of pastor friends who were some of my best friends. I have wept when remembering the precious moments that they were touched in. Some said they never knew what Pentecost was until that moment. They swore they could never turn back. Yet, over the years, church political pressure, the need for family security, the loss of their close friends, and the promise of promotion in their denominational ranks have caused them to deny that they were ever touched. I wonder if I am feeling just a little of what Jesus felt when he looked at Peter or when Judas kissed him.

Is What We Believe Based On The Word Of God? (Part 6 of 7)

Some would say, “but, there are no good churches where we live.” First of all, there is no perfect church. If there were, it would cease from being perfect the moment you walk in. We have to wait for heaven for perfection. However, I will agree that once you have tasted of the presence of God, been a part of a church that preaches the uncompromising Word of God and allows The Holy Spirit to move, uninterrupted, you cannot settle for anything else. If I lived in a place without what I have known, I would either have to move to be a part of a good church, or start one, which is precisely what I did. A good church is more necessary than having a place to buy food. Our spiritual condition needs to be given first priority in out lives.

Big God!

God has equipped us with the anointing, the finances, the wisdom, the knowledge, the foresight, and the grace to get the job done. The church has been asleep for too long. We will have no excuse on that day, when we face Him. Let’s wake up and become the church of The Lord Jesus Christ. Let’s act like it! Let’s quit blaming the government, our location, our age, our looks, and our lack of talents. God has given unto us the talents and the ability to get the job done.

Is What We Believe Based On The Word Of God? (Part 4 of 7)

He did everything He needed to do to give us grace and power to live above sin. His grace is sufficient. We’ve been born again with a new nature. We have The precious Holy Spirit to warn us, guide us, convict us, strengthen us, and comfort us. We are over comers by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. We have the weapons of our warfare and the name of Jesus. We have The Word of God as our anchor. We are hidden away in Christ Jesus. He has put the devil under our feet.

Procrastination

When this life is over, we will never regret the last offering and say “why didn’t I keep more?” We will say, why didn’t I give more, one last time. We will never regret the last soul we have to lay down at Jesus’ feet. We will never regret stepping out of our comfort zone to tell someone about Him or forgiving someone today. We won’t regret reaching out to someone more, turning the other cheek, but we will regret letting our flesh go and giving someone the last piece of our mind.
