Brush Yourself Off And Go On!

I realized that the enemy has a plan of isolation to make each one of us feel like no one has ever been as hurt, betrayed, or accused falsely, as we have been. Not true. Anyone truly serving Jesus will be betrayed, as He was. We are not above our Master.

We're Going to Make It!

ACTS: 27:25 ....Therefore take heart, men, for I believe God that it will be just as it was told me.NKJV Have you noticed that life's storms come to us all? We're not immune. The enemy wants to put pressure on to find out if we believe what we claim to believe.

Mainstream America: How Have They Achieved This? (Part 3 of 4)

Remember Norman Rockwell who was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom for painting vivid and affectionate portraits of our country - like the man standing up at a town hall meeting to exercise his freedom of speech or the crowd pledging allegiance to the flag? He painted the America that normal people love and revere. But did you know there are influential people in America who hate these paintings?

What's In A Name?
When I hear a name, it brings to mind the whole man, what I know of him, and also the impression he has made on me. The name of a king includes his honor, power, & his kingdom. His name is the symbol of his power. The Name of Christ is the expression of everything He has done and everything He is and lives to do as our Mediator. Over the past 2000 years, more people on earth have known the name of Jesus than any other name. Since 33 AD, over 8 billion people, have claimed to be followers of Jesus. It's interesting that people use it to swear, pray and to mark the calendar. BC (before Christ) It's also interesting that the freedom to speak and pray in that name is being taken away. I keep hearing that in the armed forces and other places, you can use the name of God, just not Jesus. Why is that? Satan is terrified of that name. Jesus comes from the Hebrew name Yeshua, or Joshua, and means Yahweh is salvation. Jesus was and is our salvation. We have it only because...

Charismatic Church Practices 101 - What Are They Doing?

Upon entering our church doors, (& many others), you may feel like you just entered another world, complete with a new language, both verbally, & non-verbally. You may look around & ask yourself or your spouse, "what did they just say out-loud & why?" This is a little blog that we could call a charismatic dictionary & participation help guide. We believe that church should be fun, expressive, & much like a celebration, because we are celebrating the One who has given us life & every good thing. He made us to praise & worship Him. He likes noise & is not afraid of it. He likes, hand-clapping, hands lifted in worship, a joyful noise, instruments of praise, dancing, jumping, leaping, shouting, crying, laughing, & just about anything else that He made us to enjoy life with. He made us like Him, in His image and God has emotions. Anytime that you see a lot of life, excitement & joy, you will notice there is noise. (like when a baby is born) When you never hear anything, it usually means death. Our God is all about life. All through The Bible, we see...

What Is A Charismatic, Word Of Faith, Full-Gospel, Pentecostal Church Anyway?
If people were to ask me what denomination we are, I may respond with any of the above titles, because they all describe us in different ways. They are all similar, but none of them are exactly the same. The term charismatic in the dictionary means "being a type of Christianity that emphasizes personal religious experience and divinely inspired powers, as of healing, prophecy, and the gift of tongues". We do. The term "Full Gospel" can mean different things to different people, but 1 of the meanings is: "A Fellowship, Church or individual that believes in the Full Truth & Authority of God's Word & works & believes that the Holy Spirit is alive & that He works in & through us today, not just in the past." (However, some can get a little more self-righteous with it & believe that only they have the truth & preach the whole Gospel, while others are 1/2 Gospel at best). Technically, Pentecostal is a broad term, & may include...

Welcome to FaithLife Church NW
I am so excited that you have taken the opportunity to view our new church site. You will find relevant blogs, insights, messages, and encouragement from the Word of God. Why a new church in a town of several good churches? Good question. I have been an evangelist to the nations for 21 years. I love to light fires and see people restored to their first love for God. I love to watch people give their lives to Christ. We've experienced many miracles and healings, and even saw a person raised from the dead. So, why the transition from traveling minister to pastor? Why, here in the small town of Aberdeen, Washington, after experiencing so much in so many nations and cities? God. It's that simple. He has continued to direct my husband and myself, woo us, and even corner us, so to speak, until we knew what His will was and couldn't wait to do it. If you are on this page, or considering visiting us, you are part of that too. I want to stay with people and watch them change and grow. I want to care for them, nurture them, encourage them, like a mom over her kids. I want to see this town changed. This county has the greatest unemployment in the state. This state is one of the most unchurched states. Depression, poverty, hopelessness, welfare mentality, the new-age and occult (including the vampire craze), are rampant in this town, county, and state. I don't want to be a flash-in-the-pan ministry, here today, gone tomorrow. I want to see people raised up in faith...

God's Fire
What's your nickname? Someone branded me with the name -"First Lady of Fire", while I was a Bible school teacher in Tampa, Florida. I was honored. I knew that she labeled me that way because I had a fiery message, was passionate, and spoke often about revival fire. I love revival, and felt honored that she and others felt that way. I told people to "hunger for the fire, yield to the fire, live in the fire". Now, a few years have gone by, and I am learning more about the fire of God. Is it fun? I don't know that I would describe any kind of fire as fun, even if you are an adrenaline junky. Fire is the chosen symbol of heaven for passion. God is love; God is fire. The two are one. The Holy Spirit baptizes in fire, Spirit-filled souls are ablaze for God. In my last blog, I spoke about the potter (God) and the clay (us). This is a bit of continuation.

The Holding Power of the Blood
Who hasn’t been broken in fires of life? People are more stressed out than anytime on the face of the earth. You can hear and see brokenness: anger, offense, frustration. Verbal abuse is the norm, not the exception. People who have failed or have been hurt, have angry attitudes. They are cracked pots who sound off in times of heat. We like to sing about the potter and the clay in church. We usually don't know what that even means and we don't like what it takes to get restored. Yet we know God wants vessels of strength. In Israel they understood pottery and the potter's wheel. When a vessel became broken, it was a result of clay that wouldn't take the heat. The fire produced a crack, usually around the lip of the vessel. It was in need of repair. God, (our Great Potter) will use all kinds of firewood to heat up the furnace. He takes tough situations to use them to prove the hearts of His kids. He will make sure we pass our courses in the proving ground of life. He wants to repair us at any cost.
